ACT has been in business since 2000. Our Head Quarters, Air Filter Testing facility, Show Room, and distribution center are located in Sterling VA. We also have offices in Pittsburgh PA and Baltimore MD.

ACT has four unique and well integrated divisions. They include:

• CBR filtration and ventilation. ACT designs and manufactures integrated CBR filtration and ventilation systems. These systems are utilized for laboratory exhaust and toxic process exhaust. ACT also designs and fabricates CBR air handling systems for use in overpressure supply air applications. These systems are built in strict accordance with the US Army Corp of Engineers requirements for CBR protection. ACT integrates both the CBR filtration housings and the cooling, heating, humidification and fan assemblies. The final system undergoes rigorous factory and field testing prior to being turned over to the owner.
• Air Filtration/HVAC products and services. ACT has a 26,000 square feet distribution facility located in Sterling VA. We stock virtually all standard filter sizes and styles. Filter types include; bulk filter media, pleated filters, bag filters, rigid filters, and HEPA filters. We also stock transmission belts, motors, condensate bricks, compressed air housings and elements, and water filters. Our service division specializes in air duct cleaning (NADCA certified) and air handler cleaning and restoration.
• Air Filtration/HVAC equipment sales. ACT represents major manufacturers of Filtration and HVAC equipment. These include:
  • Flanders Filters, Inc. HEPA filters, ULPA filters, filter housings, terminal ceiling mounted HEPA filters, fan powered terminal HEPA filters, commercial odor control and ASHRAE filters.
  • Flanders CSC. Bag in Bag out filter systems, bubble tight dampers, test sections, skid mounted fan filters systems, isolation chambers, and glove box systems.
  • Flanders Air Seal. Custom air handling units, field built air handlers, make up air units, high pressure air handlers, bulk carbon chemical scrubbers, and fan powered filter systems.
  • Metal Aire- VAV boxes and terminal units.
  • Penn Barry. Commercial and industrial fans, kitchen exhaust systems, and louvered outside air plenums.
  • USA Coil and Air. Replacement hydronic, DX and steam coils, modular air handlers, fan coils, belt drive units, and direct drive units.
  • Harmsco. Stainless steel water filter housings, pleated filter elements, skid mounted and pump driven water filter systems.
  • Parker Hanifin-Finite Filters. Compressed air housings and breathing air filter systems.
  • Triatek. Laboratory air control valves.
• Environmental services: ACT environmental services include IAQ testing, mold sampling and remediation, and hazardous material testing and removal. ACT environment IAQ services are combined with a thorough knowledge of HVAC systems resulting in the ability to not only detect harmful levels of indoor contaminants but to offer solutions that can alleviate these problems which many times are a result of poor HVAC system design or maintenance.
