CBR Contaminant Filtration, Flanders Filters and Ventilation in Alexandria VA, Annadale VA, Arlington VA, Fairfax, Falls Church VA, Reston, Sterling VA, and Surrounding Areas
Containment Filtration refers to air filtration and ventilation systems that are designed to remove chemical, biological and or radiological (CBR) contaminants from the airstream prior to the release of air to the outdoor environment or prior to the introduction of outside air to an indoor environment.
This type of work requires a depth and breadth of specialized knowledge and expertise, along with specialized training and even security clearances for work in sensitive government and scientific facilities. ACT’s experienced designers and installers are nationally recognized for their ability to determine the right products for an application and integrate components or design systems to meet even the most complex requirements.
ACT is the leading manufacturer of Enhanced Filtration Units (EFU) for the US Army COE and the Department of Homeland Security. EFU’s are highly customized air handlers that include CBR protection. We have an unmatched 10-year track record in the industry to design, fabricate, install and test each EFU to standards that far exceed that of a conventional air handling unit.
- Supply air CBR systems can provide over pressurized spaces within a building used as “safe havens” in the event of a toxic release inside or outside a building.
- Exhaust air CBR systems are used to remove toxic contaminants from an air stream prior to release to the outside.
- ACT has extensive experience with the design and fabrication of EFU for “sensitive’ federal government projects. These systems are designed to provide over pressurized “safe areas” within a building structure.
- We also provide critical laboratory exhaust filtration systems. These systems can be utilized for BSL-3 & BSL-4 laboratory applications or toxic chemical exhaust air applications.
