ACT recently completed the installation of a 50,000 CFM field erected air handling unit at the US Army Adelphi Research Laboratory. The existing unit was 45 years old and had surpassed its useful service life. ACT was contracted by Dewberry & Davis Engineering. The new ACT unit includes our 3” foam injected 100% thermal break R-20 casing, aluminum interior & exterior liners, minimum O/A combination damper AFS, air blender, MERV-15 filters, humidifier, hot and chilled water coils and dual direct drive fans. Final on site testing showed less than .5% air leakage at 10” wg.
