ACT was contracted to perform AHU restoration on 6 of the 40-year-old custom AHU’s located in the penthouse of the Clinical Lab building at the University of Pittsburg Medical College. ACT was responsible for the AHU casing redesign and upgrade which included reinforcing the existing casing with structural steel to support new components arrangement. ACT also sealed the entire casing interior with marine-grade sealant and pressure tested each unit to prove maximum 1% case leakage at 12” wg static pressure.
