ACT was contracted to perform AHU restoration on three 40-year-old critical air handling units. These units ranged in size from 30,000 to 45,000 CFM each. Restoration included the replacement of virtually all internal components and the restoration of the existing casing. Casings where reinforced, sealed and floors were sealed and coated with marine-grade sealant.

Additionally, ACT was contracted to replace two 30,000 CFM air handling units in the basement of building 7. These units had to be rigged through an outside air shaft and field assembled by ACT’s AHU technicians. New units included thermal break casings, direct drive fans, steam pre-heat coils chilled water cooling coils and steam humidifiers. ACT also sealed and coated the floors with marine-grade sealant.
